Technical

The Saturn Sports Car is based on the increasingly popular roadster designed by Chris Gibbs, the car is an evolution of the classic design by Ron Champion. The car is based on a lightweight spaceframe chassis with full independent suspension all round and fully adjustable coil-over dampers, in combination with the front engine and rear wheel drive this gives the ultimate driving experience which any competent driver will find exhilarating for use as a second car for fun days out or as a car for serious track day use.

Designer Chris Gibbs is Vice Secretary and Technical Adviser of the Locost Car Club. He first built his own sports car between 1997 and 1999, and has used the practical and technical experience gained to design the all-new car that the Saturn Sports Car is based on.

The car is designed to accommodate the taller driver, upto 6’6”, that may not have been able to enjoy previous designs roadster style car due to size limitations.
